December 2012 Updates

  • I spent most of December working at the Salvation Army, six days a week, nearly 13 hours a day, coordinating the Red Kettle Campaign.
  • We drove to Columbus, GA to see the Columbus Cottonmouths play against the Fayetteville Fire Antzi in the Southern Professional Hockey League. It was great to see hockey in Georgia, but none of these guys would have made UND's college team!
  • My "sponsor" in Thirty-One, Angel, joined me for the Spring Premiere on December 9. We went to a movie theatre in Austell, GA with several hundred other consultants to see all the new products on the big screen. I'm completely in love with the new products and colors!
  • We had two Christmas parties the weekend of December 15-16. It was a fun, but busy weekend.
  • We flew to Minnesota on Christmas Eve to spend the night with Trevor's family and celebrate the holidays with them.
  • On Christmas Day, we flew to North Dakota to spend some time with my family - for the first time in six months!
  • We drove from my parents' farm to visit my sister in Jamestown, ND. This was Trevor's first time seeing her house and meeting our "fur niece," Maddie (a massive, sweet, one year old mutt who loves to cuddle and thinks she's a lap dog).
  • When it was time to come back to Georgia, we spotted a "repo flight" on the schedule. These are flights that airlines add at the last minute to move planes between hubs. This flight got us - and our friends, the Gerlachs - back to Atlanta when we otherwise would have sat in Minneapolis for a couple days waiting for open seats!
  • Tonight, Trevor and I will finish out the year with a little Target shopping and a relaxing evening at home. We probably won't even be awake at midnight this year!
